Q&A
What is Regional Qualifier?
Regional Qualifier is a Tier 2 Tournament that is organized in TCG Countries every 3 Months (Every TCG Newest Box Release). Participants in Regional Qualifiers are held to the highest standards of sportsmanship and are expected to be fully prepared for the event.
What are the Prizes for the Regional Qualifier ?
Please see attach picture for all the Prizes. Please note that higher standing duelist takes priority to choose the prize from the list first.
Does this mean we will have a Regional Qualifier in Thailand every 3 month?
This depends on how well the tournament turns out and how many duelists show up for this event. The event will be reviewed by our committees and if all goes on plan, we should be able to run a Regional Qualifier every season. So if you like to see an Official Tier 2 Tournament in Thailand, please show up and give support to Yu-Gi-Oh! Community in Thailand.
The playmat prizes are Primal Origin Sneak Peek and the Regional Qualifier Playmat are not the latest Playmat for Regional Qualifier. Why is this?
It took a while before we could arrange for this event to happen, which started in the period for TCG “Primal Origin”. This means that if this event finished well, we should be able to host Duelist Alliance Regional Qualifier in even less than 3 months as well.
Will I need to complete and turn in a Deck List?
Yes. All Duelists participating in a Regional Qualifier must turn in a completed Deck List in order to participate.
Duelists can download the official KDE Deck List at http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/events/forms/KDE_DeckList.pdf.
This is an editable PDF. Using English name of the card recommended. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/The_New_Challengers
If there is no English name, please use the Booster Code instead (Ex: DUEA-JP001)
Make sure your name and COSSY ID are on your Deck List. If you do not have a COSSY ID, you can register one at the Event.
Make sure your Deck List exactly matches your Deck.
I maybe a little bit late after 12:00 pm but I should arrive before round 1 Start (12:30pm). Will I be ok?
We will cut off the queue at 12:00 pm. If you are in the line, you will be fine. If you are not in the line, you will be considered as ‘late player' and you will be given a round one Match Loss. We recommend to all players to come early since we start the registration at 10:30 pm. You should prepare your deck list prior to the event and ready for your Big Day!
How does the Raffle Work?
There will be a Raffle for free playmat(s) which will take place at the Award Ceremony. The number of playmat(s) that will be given out will depend on the number of players show up at the Regional Qualifier.
1-16: 1 playmat will be raffled.
17-32: 2 playmats will be raffled.
33+: 3 playmats will be raffled.
Only non-top 8 players are qualified for the Raffle (Excluding Auction). Players must be on site during the Prize Draw to win the Prize. TO will redraw if there is no show.
How does the Auction Work?
Do you have a rare Yu-Gi-Oh! collection you want to put on auction? Or any Single cards that’s worth a lot that you want to get rid of? This is your time! You can register 1 item for auction per COSSY ID. The Item can be anything that is related to an Official Yu-Gi-Oh! Item and has to be approved by our official judges. You can name your starting price, and at Break time, we will put your item on Auction.
Can I trade/Sell at the Tournament?
KDE Rule states that player are allowed to trade at the event. You can bring your binder and trade with the other duelists. However, cash transaction is strictly prohibited and this will be enforced. The player will get disqualified if found guilty.
If I participate in the main event and after three rounds, I lose all three rounds, I know I will not get to the top 8. Can I forfeit and play in Win-a-Mat instead?
Yes. Players who know that they will not get into the top 8 at the main event, can forfeit and join Win-a-Mat instead after Round 3 (You can drop at any round you want). It's another chance that you can play in an organized tournament and receive an Official Prize on the same day!
I just started playing and I am free only after 2pm. Should I go to the event?
Yes, you should go to this event. Win-a-Mat registration starts at 3:30pm and should have less ‘pro’ players in the tournament (Most of the ‘pro’ players are all in the main event). You can come and try your deck out and have fun. Who knows, you may win a mat! Also, if you are 12 years of age or under, or you are female (any age) , you can join for free!
What are the Dueling Rules that I may not know of?
Please note that you cannot shuffle your graveyard. If one of our judges see you shuffling your graveyard, you may receive a warning.
When the match is over, both duelists must remain seat at their table until the judge has come and signed the match slip. Match slip is where players report their result with their signature.
If you are unsure about any rulings and/or game mechanic, please ask our Official Judge before the event or during the tournament.
Does this Tournament count towards Jakarade Duel King League?
Yes. Every win (only main event) will get you free 3 points. So duel and win as many matches as you can!
Who are the Bounty Duelists?
There will also be Bounty Duelists where we choose the top 3 players who came the highest ranking from our last big tournament (who show up for this event). If player beats these Bounty Duelists, that player will receive a free OCG Gold Pack (2011/2012). Bounty Duelist and the duelist who defeat him/her must confirm the result with the Scorekeeper.
I am thinking of participating in either the Win-A-Mat or the Draft Party since I am only free in the late afternoon. Can I win the Prize Draw?
Yes. All participation who does not win any prizes in the main event, win-a-mat, and draft party can all enter the prize draw.
